Notice regarding City of Santa Ana Upcoming Events – October 4th Leadership Course Application Deadline and
October 5th Grafitti Clean-Up Day
Good evening neighborhood leaders –
All adults are welcome to participate in a free 10-week leadership development course, co-sponsored by the City of
Santa Ana and Councilmember Roman Reyna. The leadership courses will begin on Wednesday, October 16th and
will continue every Wednesday through December 18th at the Santa Ana Public Library (26 Civic Center Plaza,
Santa Ana, CA 92701) on the Second Floor, Room A from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Public speaking, critical thinking,
navigating systems and other topics will be covered. Be sure to submit your application by no later than Friday
October 4, 2013 to Gail Woods of the City Manager’s oce at gwoods5@santa-ana.org . Please call (714) 647-5200

On Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 9 am-noon, the City of Santa Ana’s Public Works agency, in collaboration with
residents, community volunteers/ organizations, and city contracted grati removal crews will host a Community
Grati Clean-up Day. Grati Protective Coatings will provide materials and supplies for the grati abatement.
Coee and donuts will also be given along with T-shirts for the volunteers. The grati clean-up day will begin at
Madison Park picnic area (located at 1528 S. Standard Ave.) and will proceed throughout the various surrounding
neighborhoods. Pre-registration is necessary by calling (714) 647-3306 on or before Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
Parents must complete and sign the waiver so that their children and young adults can volunteer. Anyone under
18 years old must have this waiver signed.
